The Jeep is a land vehicle in Base Wars and is one of two lightly armored vehicles in the game. While it lacks the means of effectively taking out other vehicles and can easily be destroyed, the Jeep makes up for this in infantry killing potential and high top speed.

History[]

Note: This is entirely fictional.

The Jeep is a general name used to refer to the M-722 Light Tactical Vehicle, made by Cerberus Mechanical Systems, a fast and useful vehicle with a variety of armaments that can be mounted to it's modular Remote Weapon Station (RWS). The vehicle is protected by spaced laminates and can be armored with polylithic ceramic armor plating made by Phalanx Leading Ceramics.

Unfortunately, like all vehicles, a compromise between armor and speed is needed which means that it still doesn't carry enough armor to survive intense fire. Moreover to preserve it's maneuverability, armament is somewhat reduced in power, but it still can dish plenty of punishment.

General Information[]

The Jeep is surprisingly tough, with a health of 2500 and with an innate resistance of 67% it can easily survive some punishment from incoming attacks. Though because of this low health using the Jeep in direct combat against a Battle Tank for instance will often result in death. The Jeep however is very fast, being able to travel at 150 KM/H allows the vehicle to get to locations faster or to outmaenuver the less agile tanks and flank their less armored rear end.

The Jeep's primary weapon by default is the 20 Heavy Machine Gun commonly seen on other vehicles. Similar to other vehicles that have the weapon, it is reasonably effective against enemy infantry and lightly armored vehicles but starts to suffer in performance against more armored vehicles. The Jeep also has the ability to deploy IR Smoke to break any incoming lock-on rockets.

The Jeep also contains three additional seats that other players can enter regardless if it is an enemy or friendly player. This can prove useful if one wishes to transport a group of players quickly although be warned that the vehicle's destruction will result in the death of all players onboard.

The Jeep's weapons are primarily anti-infantry focused, although some weapons allows the Jeep to have anti-vehicle capabilities.

Primary Weapons[]


The 20mm Heavy Machine Gun is the Tier 1 primary weapon of the Jeep and is unlocked by default. The weapon excels at taking out infantry and can also harass light vehicles but starts to suffer against heavily armored vehicles.

General Information[]

The 20mm Heavy Machine Gun's damage is identical to the same weapon on other vehicles, doing 250 damage within 100m and drops to 188 damage at 150m and beyond. This gives the Jeep reasonable capability of killing enemy infantry quickly and can do a surprising amount of damage towards light armored vehicles. Unlike other 20mm Heavy Machine Guns, the one found onf the jeep has a larger magazine size of 70 rounds.

Performance against armored vehicles is poor much like other 20mm Heavy Machine Guns although with the larger magazine size and speed of the Jeep, one can chip away at one's health while simply circling around the target.

The High-Explosive Grenade Launcher is one of two Tier 2 primary weapon of the Jeep and is unlocked at 5000 Battlescore. The weapon has better overall performance against infantry but starts to suffer more against vehicles.

General Information[]

The High-Explosive Grenade Launcher's damage is high, doing 600 direct damage and has a splash damage of 1000 within a 4m radius. This allows the weapon to potentially instant kill players with a single direct grenade although more armored players may require follow up shots. The high splash damage allows the weapon to tackle enemy players behind cover but those wearing the Anti-Explode Armor Suit will easily survive unless they recieve direct hits.

Rate of fire is quite high for a grenade launcher but otherwise low for an automatic weapon, firing at only 240 RPM and with a velocity of only 175 m/s, hitting fast moving targets may be challenging. Thankfully with a magazine of 24 grenade as well as having a reload time of 2 seconds, one may not have to worry about ammunition.

Damage against vehicles is slightly better than the 20mm Heavy Machine Gun but is still poor regardless, its performance against aircraft however is better overall but due to the lower velocity, hitting such targets is difficult.

The 85mm Armor-Piercing Rocket is one of two Tier 2 primary weapons of the Jeep and is unlocked at 5000 Battlescore and gives the Jeep anti-vehicle capabilities at the expense of its anti-infantry capabilities.

General Information[]

The 85mm Armor-Piercing Rocket is rather powerful, doing 2400 direct damage and does 500 splash damage in a rather small 2.67m radius. While a single shot is enough to instant kill any enemy player, due to it being a single shot weapon it will have trouble dealing with larger groups of enemy players. Due to having a reload time of 2 seconds, it equates to roughly a rate of fire of 30 RPM which is very slow.

The weapon's performance against vehicles however is very good. Capable of doing a doing a large amount of damage to enemy vehicles, despite this attempting to face a Battle Tank headfirst is still not advisable and as such should take advantage of the Jeep's speed to flank the enemy vehicle and attack the rear weakspot. Its damage towards aircraft is improved as well, capable of instant killing all but the more armored aircraft though with a velocity of only 350 m/s landing succesful shots can be difficult.

The Plasma Lance is a Tier 3 primary weapon of the Jeep and is unlocked at 15000 Battlescore and trades overall damage for long range precision.

General Information[]

The Plasma Lance's damage is quite high although significantly lower than the 88mm Armor-Piercing Rocket, doing 900 damage within 400m and dropping to 600 damage at 600m. This actually makes the Plasma Lance rather poor at taking out enemy players due to needing multiple shots to kill most players and with a rate of fire of only 60 RPM, makes outputing its damage rather slow and may give players a chance to take cover.

However, the weapon excels at a distance due to it having a velocity of 800 m/s and lacking any bulletdrop whatsoever. Meaning hitting ranged targets on the move is made easier and otherwise allows the Jeep to hit players at range with surprising accuracy. Its damage against vehicles is compensated by favourable damage multipliers but still has inferior performance when compared to the 88mm Armor-Piercing Rocket.

The 30mm Armor-Piercing Chaingun is a Tier 4 primary weapon for the Jeep and is unlocked upon getting 10 Rank S Vehicles and gives the Jeep the ability to shred any target within range.

Generl Information[]

The 30mm Armor-Piercing Chaingun's damage is comparable to the 20mm Heavy Machine Gun but deals lower damage at range, doing 250 damage within 100m and dropping to 125 damage at 150m and does 200 splash damage in a near non-existant radius of 1m. While doing splash damage exclusively is nigh impossible, it does mean the weapon is extremely deadly towards enemy players at close range as splash damage is applied on direct hits.

The weapon will start at an initial rate of fire of 240 RPM and after 1.76 seconds of firing the weapon will windup to 1200 RPM. Generously the magazine size is at 90 rounds meaning a few wasted shots is no issue once full rate of fire is achieved. However the weapon will need to wind up everytime the weapon starts to fire meaning that the weapon may suffer in reactivity.

Its performance against vehicles is good due to favouable damage multipliers and while it may take several magazines to take out a Battle Tank or Artillery, it can empty the magazine very quickly although due to a reload time of 4 seconds entering a fight with a partially filled magazine may leave one at an disadvantage.
